Maria Serbina interviewed Chris Petersen, Fastenal store manager in St. George UT and Margarita Serbna, Executive Assistant for CargoGlide about companies’ relationship and the Fastenal’s 2015 CUSTOMER Industrial & Construction Expo in Nashville, TN
The Fastenal store in St. George carries a full line of industrial supplies, fasteners, safety equipment, electrical, plumbing and also material handling.
Chris said that companies like CargoGlide buy cutting tools, drill bits, and other tools that they use to manufacture CargoGlide truck bed trays.
Chris continued, “We sell a lot of joining fasteners that they use to hold them together. We sell them tape and packaging materials that they use to ship the final products out. We sell marking tools that the guys use down there to cut and mark their steel. We do the grinding tools and some of the welding consumables that they use, so we supply to CargoGlide quite a few products.”
The relationship between Fastenal store in St. George, and CargoGlide started a few years ago when CargoGlide was a small startup. Chris said that VP of the company use to come over to the store multiple times a day and then a little bit later Fastenal store started stocking CargoGlide bins.
Today the store has a pretty good stocking program in place for CargoGlide. The program is working really well, because there are no issues with running out of products. Fastenal employees come down multiple times a week to check on CargoGlide inventory. The orders from CargoGlide have gone from literally zero dollars to tens of thousands of dollars.
At the present moment Brad Harrell, The CEO of CargoGlide, and the crew are at Fastenal’s 2015 CUSTOMER Industrial & Construction Expo in Nashville, TN.
Margarita Serbina said that, “The work that we do with Fastenal and having Chris come in to CargoGlide is the reason we are going to the Expo. We are really excited to participate in Fastenal’s Expo 2015 as an exclusive vendor for truck slide out bed manufacturing for Fastenal’s customer base. We have Chris to thank for the opportunity to be there.”
The relationship between the two companies is growing. At the present time Cargo Glide is a supplier for Fastenal. Truck bed trays installed in Fastenal trucks help employees save time and their backs. Both companies are expecting new business opportunities and market expansion during and after the Fastenal’s 2015 CUSTOMER Industrial & Construction Expo.
