The aromatherapy website, Essential Oils Recipes, has just added a new section: Essential Oils for Autism. Autism has been a growing concern in recent years as more and more children and adults are affected. In addition to more traditional treatment options, essential oils can enhance and complement other options, and the website's new section provides detailed information.
Adriana Copaceanu created her Essential Oils Recipes website to provide a resource where fellow aromatherapy users could exchange recipes and tips as well as other information.
Copaceanu explains that aromatherapy is widely used as a gentle, yet effective, way to manage a wide range of emotional as well as physical challenges, and so it should be no surprise that these oils are increasingly used for helping with autism symptoms as well.
On her website, she provides detailed instructions for a range of key essential oils and the conditions they are generally used for. Many oils, such as Lavender, are traditionally used for stress relief and for reducing anxiety and tension. On the other hand, oils like Peppermint and Clove are used for increasing alertness and focus, and to improve concentration.
When it comes to autism, the symptoms that need to be managed may include anxiety, anger, stress, and depression. These are among the most common symptoms people are often looking to relieve with aromatherapy. So it makes sense that using essential oils for autism has been getting more and more attention recently.
In her new section on Essential Oil for Autism, Copaceanu provides a list of autism symptoms as well as the most common traditional treatment options for those symptoms, including physical and speech therapy, behavioral training and more.
She then proceeds to explain some of the benefits of specific essential oils for autism. Among the most prominent benefits are the oils' calming effects that may help with anxiety and stress. Her list of recommendations covers the key symptoms and how the oils are used to alleviate them.
She points out that aromatherapy for autism is not meant to replace other treatments (including medical treatment) but instead can be used to enhance any other treatments that may be used.
More information can be found on her Essential Oil Recipes website. A search box at the top right helps visitors find what they are looking for. A contact form can be found when clicking on the word "Contact" at the bottom of each page.
