Elevated Roofing Offers Free Roof Inspections Following Texas Hail Storms

April 15, 2016 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Elevated Roofing, a company in Frisco, TX, is now offering free roof inspections to people in this area, to see if they have been affected by the hail storms. North Texas experienced a huge hail storm on April 11, which came fairly quickly after March, a month filled with major storms. There have been significant billings in damage, including a very large amount of hail damage to roofs in the Dallas Forth Worth metroplex, including Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm, and Wylie, TX.

James Baron from Elevated Roofing says: "North Texas has taken a serious pounding since March, with the spring storm of April 11 being one of the worst. Hail stones the size of softballs were seen on the path of the storm, which started in Montague County and moved on into the Collin and Rockwall counties. This means the hail stones were around 4.5 inches in size! Unsurprisingly, roofs have been damaged from minor degrees to destroyed. We are offering people a free roof inspection so that they can find out whether their roof has managed to survive the storm."

Wylie was one of the areas that was hit the hardest by the April 11 storm. All ISD schools in Wylie remained closed the next day, due to fears of structural damage. "Due to the significant storm damage, we will not be able to provide a safe learning environment for all students," according to the school district on a Facebook post.

During the storm, the emergency systems became overwhelmed with the large number of people who phoned 911. This prompted them to tweet "Please call only if there is a life threatening emergency. Please be patient." Elevated Roofing set itself apart as a resource for homeowners, attending to many properties with emergency "tarping" during the storm.

Homeowners reported that windows, sky lights any many roofs were completely destroyed. Additionally, many people had already sustained damage due to previous storms. In fact, some have had to go as far as pitching tents in their homes, as none of their rooms provided protection from the elements.
