Siam Legal International Explains Thailand Privilege Visa Safety Push for Members

June 30, 2026

Bangkok, Thailand - June 30, 2026 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Siam Legal International, a three-time consecutive recipient of Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. (TPC) GSSA Awards and an authorized General Sales and Support Agent (GSSA) for the Thailand Privilege Visa, is explaining what a newly announced five-agency security partnership means for prospective members, following a formal announcement by TPC in June 2026, that significantly strengthens the program's member screening standards.

Thailand Privilege has integrated applicant verification procedures in collaboration with five Thai government security agencies: the Immigration Bureau, the Foreign Affairs Division of the Royal Thai Police, the Central Investigation Bureau, the National Intelligence Agency, and the Anti-Money Laundering Office. Members are subject to ongoing immigration compliance monitoring throughout their residency, consistent with standard Thai immigration regulations. For applicants who have changed nationality, an additional Anti-Money Laundering Office screening has been introduced to examine the source of funds. TPC confirmed that the program currently serves more than 40,000 international members from over 50 nationalities and has contributed more than THB 50 billion in annual economic impact over its 23-year history.

The Thailand Privilege Visa is a government-backed long-term residency program operated by TPC under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, offering five membership tiers ranging from 5 to 20 or more years at membership fees between 650,000 THB and 5,000,000 THB. Members receive a multiple-entry Privilege Entry Visa, VIP airport services including Elite Personal Assistant services and lounge access, government concierge support, and lifestyle privileges spanning travel, leisure, health, and wellness.

The enhanced framework follows a five-step process covering preliminary document verification at application submission, criminal record checks in coordination with the relevant security agencies, final approval only after all checks are fully cleared by every agency, visa issuance through designated channels, and ongoing compliance monitoring throughout the member's residency. For family applicants, legal proof of relationship, including marriage certificates and birth certificates, is mandatory at the submission stage. Manatase Annawat, President of TPC, stated that the initiative aims to enhance global confidence and position Thailand as a world-class safe destination for long-term international residents.

"This partnership with five government agencies is genuinely good news for serious applicants," said Rex Baay, Senior Immigration Consultant at Siam Legal International, who accepted the firm's GSSA Awards in 2024, 2025, and 2026. "It means that Thailand Privilege membership carries real institutional weight. When a member has cleared checks across the Immigration Bureau, the Central Investigation Bureau, the National Intelligence Agency, and AMLO, that is a meaningful credential. Legitimate applicants with clean backgrounds should view this as a strengthening of the program rather than an obstacle."

Working with an authorized GSSA remains the most practical way to navigate the application process under the enhanced framework. As an authorized GSSA, Siam Legal International prepares and submits applications on behalf of clients, liaises with TPC during the screening period, and coordinates visa issuance, whether at a Thai Embassy or Consulate overseas, upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi or Phuket International Airports, or at the Chaengwattana Immigration Office in Bangkok. The full process from initial submission to visa issuance typically takes 45 to 60 days, with applicants advised to allow additional time where enhanced nationality-specific screening applies.

Siam Legal International is a full-service law firm with more than 22 years of experience assisting foreign nationals in Thailand, with offices in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya. The firm provides comprehensive legal and immigration support across visa planning, application processing, and long-term compliance. All GSSA assistance is provided at no charge to the applicant beyond the official TPC membership fee.
