CORE Gap Year Offers Service Opportunities for Young Adults

Liberty Corner, NJ: A new gap year program, 40 miles west of Midtown Manhattan, is being offered to young adults who want to find their interests and passions before entering college or the work force. CORE Gap Year is perfect for those looking to gain experience and have a little adventure either before they enter college, during college, or before they enter the workforce.

CORE is a nine-month gospel-centered program focused on discipleship, experiential learning, and emotional maturity. We partner with young people to help them claim their identity in Christ, impact their world, and shape their future.

Starting in September, program participants will participate in both group learning and experiential service throughout their time at CORE. The group learning sessions will focus on Biblical Foundations, Leadership Development, Personal Finance, and Emotional Intelligence, taught through both lecture and discussion. These sessions are designed to prepare participants for any path they decide after the program.

The experiential service component gives participants real-world experience in practical and meaningful ways. One of the most visible aspects of service is through outreach, as the CORE Program ministers in New York City, Philadelphia, and other nearby urban centers. Participants will also learn more about their unique God-given design through the Birkman Method personality assessment, while mentored by a certified Birkman Trainer.

CORE provides participants with a once in a lifetime experience that will transform how they see the world and their place in it.
