Employment Agencies in Anchorage, AK Join Nationwide Effort to Fight Hunger

Anchorage, Alaska, June 8, 2016—Express Employment Professionals of Anchorage, AK, one of the largest employment agencies in Anchorage, AK, is setting aside a day of volunteerism known as “Brand It Blue Day.”

On Saturday, June 11th, the associates, clients, and friends of many Express Employment Professionals offices will join together at their local food banks and pantries and aid the fight against hunger - a widespread issue that continues to impact millions of people around the world.

Brand It Blue Day is the day each Express franchise comes together for one great cause to help the community. This is a chance for Express offices to honor the communities that have supported us through the years by giving back.

From now until June 10, Express Anchorage will host a food drive at its office, located at 2505 Fairbanks St, Anchorage, AK 99503 or directly at the Food Bank of Alaska (2121 Spar Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501), where people can drop off non-perishable food.

“The summertime is an especially difficult season for children who depend on the meals they receive at school. The donations we receive will help provide meals for children and their families in our community,” said Aron Nelson, Anchorage Express office coordinator.

Last year, more than 225 Express Employment Professionals offices participated in Brand It Blue Day. In the past four years, in addition to those Express offices, 1,500 volunteers have donated their time and resources and provided more than 156,000 meals to local food banks and charitable organization.
