ANCHORAGE, Alaska, April 27, 2016—Express Employment Professionals, one of the top employment agencies across North America, recently released new survey results revealing the growing difficulty that employers face when trying to recruit and fill positions.

These results emerged from a survey of 340 businesses. Participants were asked, "Currently, how easy is it for you to recruit and fill positions?"

Merely three percent said "very easy," while 29 percent said "somewhat easy." Roughly half, 49 percent, said "somewhat difficult," 16 percent said "very difficult," and another three percent said, "I don't know."

More respondents said "very difficult" or "somewhat difficult" (65 percent) in this particular survey than in any of the four hiring trends surveys conducted by Express in 2015. The rise in reported difficulty equates to the decline in the unemployment rate.
