Leading tea retailer Immortalitea was named this week as a finalist for “Best Tea Health Advocate” by The World Tea Expo for the 2016 World Tea Awards. The World Tea Expo is the largest industry event in the world for tea producers, traders and retailers.
The Best Tea Health Advocate award is given each year to writers and other tea professionals for their efforts to educate consumers about the health benefits of consuming tea and herbal tisanes.
Immortalitea owner, Ralph Kenney, who authors Immortalitea’s popular health blog, Immortal Musings commented on the nomination.
“We’re proud to be nominated. We started Immortalitea focused on health and that continues to be the primary focus of our blog. I’ve often questioned the wisdom of that focus as our larger competitors seem to be more interested in the “social” aspect of tea culture, like selfies and vanity labels.
It’s motivating to learn from this nomination by industry professionals, that our efforts to promote tea as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle are appreciated and gaining traction.”
The final selection of Best Tea Health Advocate will take place June 15th in Las Vegas, NV. Only world Tea Expo attendees are allowed to vote.
