Panama City, Fla. – Disaster Response Team, a restoration services company in Panama City, FL, is ecstatic to participate in The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program this holiday season.
As Christmas approaches and families amass into warm, comforting homes, The Salvation Army is working tirelessly to ensure the less fortunate have something to unwrap under the tree. This year, Disaster Response Team wants to help in any way possible.
“We are all very excited to see how the community will come together to ensure that others around them have a merry Christmas too, especially the children,” Owner Mark Broersma said.
Through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program, Disaster Response Team has been given the opportunity to collect toys for children in the area. Caring givers can now visit the DRT office and leave presents in a designated drop box. The presents will be delivered by volunteers to the homes of the families prior to the big day of giving.
Even though Disaster Response team is focused year-round on being a water damage, fire, and mold services company in Panama City, FL, this season it is more interested in stepping out of its normal service realm and making a larger, more heartfelt impact in the community. The team knows that this project will be a success and most importantly put smiles on the faces of deserving children.
“Our biggest goal is to make sure every child has something special to open come Christmas morning and this program is doing just that,” Broersma said. “We’re proud to be a part of it.”
