Sanford, FL business Monika's Marketplace has announced that their popular door draft dodger is now available in 37 inches in length. The vast majority of draft door stoppers measure just 36 inches, which means they are actually too short for a standard door. The company explained that their decision to increase the length was in response to customer feedback.
"When we initially released the draft stopper last year, we followed the usual length for this type of product," says a representative from Monika's Marketplace. "However, there were some comments from customers where they observed that it was too short for standard front doors. We did take a look and we noticed that it was indeed too short for the usual front door width, which is why we decided to lengthen it."
The door draft stopper is available in two different colors, a brown suede and another shade of neutral brown. The door stopper also comes with a handy storage bag with hanging cord, so that it can be put away when it is not needed. Each bag is handmade to ensure its superior quality, using heavy duty cloth covering. It weighs 1.4 pounds, so it will always stay in place. The representative adds: "The weight and material of the door draft stopper will ensure that it stays snuggly in place, stopping cold or hot air from either escaping or coming in, depending on what you want to achieve."
With this draft stopper door will not allow the air from moving out of the room. During the winter, this would be heated air but, during the summer it is cool air. By stopping this air from escaping and being lost, homes become much more energy efficient. This means that energy bills will be reduced, while also protecting the environment. The fact that it is used both for hot and cold is evident in the many reviews the product has received. "My condo door was not sealed very well. There is always a breeze at the beach and this really kept the cold air out during the few chilly days we get. It is heavy enough to stay in place, thick enough to keep the draft from seeping under the door...," says an Amazon customer.
