Tacoma, WA Staffing Agency Holds “Pink Friday” Event to Shed Light on Breast Cancer Awareness

Tacoma, WA. – A top Tacoma, WA staffing agency held an office wide event on Friday October 20th to acknowledge National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and many organizations across the world participate in various events to raise funds and bring awareness to the cause.

Express Employment Professionals staff wore pink outfits and provided baked goods. The leading Tacoma temp agency also offered informational pamphlets provided by a local business about breast cancer awareness and early detection to their staff and job seekers.

Jan Schwenger, owner of Express Employment Professionals of Tacoma W.A. shared her reasoning behind acknowledging Pink Friday. “The reason behind bringing awareness to this cause was to share information with associates, staff and loved ones.”

The National Breast Cancer Foundation's mission is to provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and support services. Express Employment Professionals Pink Friday event was in an effort to do just that.

Estimated 1-8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. Owner Jan Schwenger candidly states the impact breast cancer has had on her own life by stating, “My own grandmother died of breast cancer so it is near and dear to my family.”

In an effort to inform and encourage early detection to staff and job seekers Express Employment Professionals appreciated the opportunity to hold this event for their local community.
