Pamela Wible, M.D., is known for pioneerng the 'ideal clinic' and addressing physician and medical student suicide. She is launching a 12-week course starting on August 9, in which she will address the business strategies required to open ideal medical clinics featured in Harvard Business Review. She aims to help physicians to once again enjoy their careers they have chosen, thereby improving outcomes for both doctors and their patients.
"I pioneered the Ideal Medical Clinic Movement," says Dr. Wible. "because I believe bigger is not necessarily better. I believe in simplifying healthcare delivery. The ideal clinic model is financially, and most importanlty personally sustainable—for doctors and patients."
An ideal clinic is production-driven, not relationship-driven. Most ideal clinics are smaller than the average medical practice with shorter wait times and longer patient visits, allowing a physician to provide more comprehensive services with less support staff. Each clinic is unique and designed in part by the patients which makes the model attractive to physicians and patients alike.
During her course, Dr. Wible offers the business strategy required to launch an ideal clinic. She teaches how to effortlessly energize patients and staff, how to find unique office locations, explore innovative staffing solutions, find low-cost malpractice insurance and achieve financial freedom.
Dr. Wible believes that rates of physician and medical student suicide can be drastically reduced by helping doctors launch ideal clinics. Additionally, she believes doing so will greatly improve the quality of health care that they deliver. Through her biannual 12-week teleseminars and physician retreats, she hopes to be able to reach more physicians and provide them with the necessary business strategy to make their ideal clinics a reality.
