Pensacola, Fla. – A local junkyard in Pensacola continues to aim for furthering their knowledge of the automotive recycling industry and its future to the benefit of their customers. Butlers Auto Recycling recently attended and spoke at the 2019 Florida Auto Dismantler & Recycler Association Convention and Trade show in Clearwater, FL.
The convention was held July 18th through the 21st at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort by the Florida Auto Dismantler & Recyclers Association (FADRA) as a way for its member businesses to gather and discuss the industry’s role in conserving the future through the recycling of automotive and increase awareness of consumers of the high quality but low-cost alternative that these businesses offer. The 4 day event was full of discussions by business owners and other members of the auto recycling industry to discuss the struggles they have faced in their careers, how they over came them, and some of the struggles they foresee arising in their industry in the years to come.
Among the Panel of Experts that spoke at the convention was long time business owner of Butlers Auto Recycling in Pensacola, FL and second-generation auto recycler, Jim Butler. Butler started out as Vice President of Butler Auto Recycling in 1986 before he became president in 2001. He has been an active member of FADRA for near as many years and served as President of FADRA from 2012 to 2014 and still serves as a member of the Board of Directors.
