BTL Liners, a Prineville, Oregon based supplier of reinforced polyethylene liners, has introduced a new string-reinforced tarp material designed for use in light deprivation systems and equally suitable as a hay or grain pile cover. The tarp material, known as BTL-12 BW SR, is constructed of a strong and flexible polyester string scrim coated with Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE). Aside from being resistant to both punctures and tearing, the material is waterproof, highly UV-stable, resists rotting and has wide spectrum chemical resistance. Manufactured in black on one side and white on the other, this tarp material provides complete light blocking while minimizing heat absorption, both of which are critical elements for light deprivation setups.
"BTL-12 BW SR is similar to our BTL-12 black/white product, but this reinforced version is heavier and is a more high end product, so it’s even less likely to have pin holing, which can negatively affect light deprivation processes," explained Jared Santoro, General Manager and Vice President of BTL Liners.
The new BTL-12 BW SR is expected to perform for an average of five years and comes with a full two year warranty. Like all BTL products, this string reinforced tarp material can be fabricated to any size and customized with any desired attachment or configuration.
