Virtual orthodontic appointments offer several methods to connect, which include: 1) Zoom meetings with a private link provided only to the family, 2) regular telephone calls, 3) or text messaging. Current patients may continue treatment through the guidance of the doctors during virtual orthodontic appointments. Before the visit, instructions on how to take pictures of their teeth will be given to the patient. These will then be submitted electronically to the doctors for examination. The summary of the exam and any required changes will be discussed with the patient during the Zoom meeting. Zoom is an online video meeting platform that is simple to join, and no software is required for the patient. However, if an orthodontic emergency occurs that needs prompt attention, the doctors and staff are available to bring patients into the office to address their needs.
