Accounts Receivable Management Company in Pensacola, FL Grants Scholarship to Local College Student

Pensacola, Fla.- Collection Services, Inc. (CSI), an accounts receivable management company in Pensacola, FL since 1955, is proud to announce the winner of the Oren R. Powell & LaVonne C. Agerton Associated Credit Bureaus of FL Scholarship for $750 in Spring 2020.

Katie Snyder, a nursing student at Pensacola State College, received the scholarship this Spring semester. Her scholarship will be applicable to the many expenses associated with pursuing a higher education.

The scholarship was available to any Pensacola State College student in Spring 2020. The recipient of the award had to be in both good academic and financial standing with the college to be eligible for the scholarship funds. The funds are then used to help pay for tuition, books and other education related expenses.

Collection Services, Inc was thankful to be able to help contribute to their local post-secondary education institutions like Pensacola State. Given the pandemic the country has gone through, finances are wearing thin for young college students.

Jeff Powell, Executive Director of CSI’s Pensacola office stated, “We’ve seen a lot of hurting people in our Pensacola community because of the pandemic. We’re blessed and thankful that we can help ease this burden in some way.”

College students as a whole have been highly affected by the pandemic, considering their mid-semester transition to online classes, and losing their commencement ceremonies.
