The city of North Dallas has received a new area code. This new code is in response to high demand for new telephone numbers and the significant socio-economic growth of the area.
An NBC 5 DFW new article published on January 11th, states that, “North Texas is getting a new area code this month. In response to the high demand for new telephone numbers in the greater Dallas area, the Public Utility Commission of Texas has approved the prefix 945 as an additional area code for the region. This will be the sixth area code to be put into use in North Texas where area codes 214, 817, 682, 469 and 972 have all been in use for some time.”
This new code was implemented on the 15th of January. Members of the local community who request new landline numbers may be assigned the new 945 prefix, according to a Community Impact article published on the 8th of January. It states, “Starting next week, some North Texas telephone customers who request new phone numbers may be assigned a new area code. The new 945 area code will be deployed Jan. 15 for the region that presently uses area codes 214, 469 and 972, the Public Utility Commission of Texas announced Jan. 8 in a news release. A new area code was approved in response to high demand for new telephone numbers in the Greater Dallas area, according to the release. The 945 area code will include surrounding communities in eight counties, including the cities of Frisco, Allen, Blue Ridge, Grand Prairie, Crandall, Rockwall, Royse City, Venus and Waxahachie.” The addition of the new area code will be applied to new landline services, added lines, and certain kinds of service transfers which happen in the aforementioned regions.
Dental provider mBrace Orthodontics, based in Frisco, Texas, published a new blog post about the new area code The clinic, mBrace Frisco Orthodontics, is managed by Dr. Shireen Irani and her team of trained professionals. The team makes it a point to keep their community informed about local news, such as the new area code and other announcements, through their blog on the clinic’s website.
They have built a reputation for specializing in braces and other orthodontic appliances as well, however. Such orthodontic treatment is recommended by specialists to enhance the aesthetic appearance of a patient. This is done through the improvement of the growth and development of the jaws. Orthodontic treatment is mostly used to correct issues such as underbites or overbites, crooked or crowded teeth and incorrect jaw positions. Such issues should not be left untreated as they can result in severe problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, chewing or biting issues, earaches and headaches. They can even affect one’s speech.
Similarly, mBrace Frisco Orthodontics offers various kinds of braces. The clinic is dedicated to providing its community with the latest treatments in dentistry and make it a point to be well informed of new developments. Some of the available orthodontic treatments include metal braces, WildSmiles braces, clear (ceramic) braces, and Invisalign. Metal braces have been in use for over a century, but the modern ones are designed to be smaller, more comfortable, and more aesthetically pleasing as they are more discreet. One may even choose from a wide range of colors for braces, allowing patients to add their unique touch to the appliance.
Options such as the WildSmiles Braces allow their younger patients to choose from a selection of fun shapes. This range of shapes includes hearts, stars, flowers, football, sports balls, and super-diamonds for their front teeth. Ceramic braces are ideal for those who prefer more discreet braces. The Invisalign treatment is done through a series of clear trays, which are known as aligners and are created through computer simulation in order to ensure a perfect fit. Dr. Shireen and her team utilize a virtual model of a patient’s teeth to design a personalized series of trays. The series of aligners gradually shift teeth into the correct position with minimum pain and discomfort.
The clinic would also like to remind their community that they offer a free consultation for first-time patients. Due to the health and safety restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the clinic has been offering virtual consultations in order to ensure their patients’ safety. Patients are encouraged to take photos of their teeth to show the dentist during their virtual appointment. The patients are also provided guidance on how to take these photos, which will be texted or emailed to the clinic. Dr. Shireen will review the photos herself, and a member of her team will contact each patient in order to provide them with information on their next step.
