Paddleboarding is a hugely popular hobby in the United States. Participation in paddleboarding has steadily increased over the last decade with the number of participants in millions rising from 1.15 in 2011 to 3.56 million in 2019, according to Statista.com. There have been significant improvements in the design of the paddleboard that have made the hobby much more accessible than it was in the past. A big factor in the surge in popularity was the introduction of inflatable boards. Inflatable boards are much more portable and thus compelled more people to try the hobby.
