GA based Destination Paradise, a YouTube Channel that posts high quality inspirational and scenic landscape videos every week, is proud to share their new video: Scotland 4K Relaxation Film. The video has over an hour’s worth of beautiful, high resolution drone footage of various locales around the country, combined with relaxing ambient music for everyone to enjoy.
Part of the United Kingdom, Scotland covers the northern third of the island of Great Britain, with a 96-mile border with England to the southeast. The country is otherwise surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, the North Sea to the northeast and the Irish Sea to the south. Scotland also contains over 790 islands, mainly in the archipelagos of the Hebrides and the Northern Isles. Most of the population, including the capital Edinburgh, is concentrated in the Central Belt — the plain between the Scottish Highlands and the Southern Uplands — in the Scottish Lowlands.
The video footage captured by Destination Paradise covers many important and beautiful parts of the country, including but not limited to Edinburgh, the Eilean Donan castle, the Scottish Highlands, the Glencoe waterfall, the Isle of Donan and more.
Greg Webster, a representative for Destination Paradise, says, “The primary purpose of our channel is to provide everyone, all over the world, with incredible views of countries that they might want to visit or just enjoy. We work very hard to immerse our audience with our footage, all captured from high-quality 4K drone cameras. Our video dedicated to Scotland aims to cover many of the beautiful country’s amazing sights in a way that allows you to not just see Scotland, but also feel it. If you want to experience Scotland from the comfort of your own home, our 4K footage is simply your best option.”
Edinburgh is Scotland's compact, hilly capital. With a wonderful medieval feel to it in its Old Town and a more elegant Georgian feel in New Town, it deserves its spot as one of Scotland’s best spots for tourists. Edinburgh Castle looks down upon the city, housing both Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, which are used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials.
The Scottish Highlands, which are also covered in the video, is the mountainous region that encompasses northwest Scotland. Loch Ness, home to cryptozoologists' favorite mythical monster Nessie (or ‘Loch Ness Monster’), sits at the center of the Highlands and is overlooked by the ruins of medieval Urquhart Castle In the northeast, near the city of Inverness, dolphins swim in the Moray Firth. Southwest, in the Western Highlands, trails wind up Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak and red deer roam Glencoe valley with its waterfalls
Destination Paradise’s drone footage also captures beautiful shots of Eilean Donan, which means simply ‘island of Donnán.’ The island is named after Donnán of Eigg, a martyred Celtic saint who is said to have established a church on the island, though no trace of this remains. The island is home to Eilean Donan castle, probably the most photographed fortress in the whole of Scotland, which has featured in movies such as James Bond (as the Scottish HQ of MI6, no less). Though interestingly, Eilean Donan as it is today is not an ‘authentic’ Medieval castle, because most of it was built in the 1920s-30s, in a mock Medieval style.
Also included in the video footage are some stunning aerial shots of the Glencoe Valley and its many waterfalls. The valley is home to both permanent and temporary waterfalls, including the aptly named the Falls of Glencoe, which are all usually visible from the road itself. The valley is also the home of three prominent mountains called the Three Sisters and the River Coe cuts right through the valley, offering a good hiking path for adventurous people.
