Announcement of New Directors and Board Member

Modern American Dance Company (MADCO) announced the return of Belicia Beck as Artistic Director for the 2021-22 season. Entering her tenth season with MADCO, Belicia brings both insight and a strong vision for the future of the company. Belicia spoke on MADCO’s 45th season saying she is, “excited for what’s to come in this 45th season and intends to lead the Modern American Dance Company with strength, wisdom, an open mind, and an open heart.”

Also returning this season is Darrell Hyche II as Educational Director. Darrell enters his eighth season with MADCO, bringing veteran experience and knowledge to this position. Darrell headed the Books in Motion program in the 2020-21 season and will continue to progress the program in the upcoming season.

MADCO announced today that former company member Arianna Russ will be joining the company as Managing Director. Arianna brings a fresh perspective to the management of the organization. Arianna commented, “I look forward to contributing to the growth of MADCO in a new way, especially drawing from my experience dancing with the main company. I am honored to join the team and to facilitate MADCO’s reach in terms of community engagement and contribution.”

Joining the Board of Directors as its newest member is Jeremy Stagner. As Boeing’s Sr. Operations Manager, Jeremy serves on the St Louis Site Leadership team. His professional specialties include Process Improvement, Change Management, Manufacturing Operations, and Workshop Facilitation. Jeremy holds several certificates in Technical Leadership, Root Cause Problem Solving, and Six Sigma Process Improvement. Jeremy, along with his wife Kacy Voskuil of St. Louis Academy of Dance, holds a passion for the arts. He will be an immense asset to the board this season.
