London, UK, NOV 2, 2015 – It’s happened to everyone at one time or another. Too much on the mind that keys are forgotten and lockouts occur. PGS Online has recently offered some bits of advice on how to avoid this bothersome situation. In order to help London residents out with this, Locked-out LockSmiths (www.lockedout-locksmiths.co.uk) has just published a new blog post authored by Brendan Connolly entitled 'Locked out with No Spare Key? Locksmiths from London to the Rescue!’.
The article references an article on the PGS Online website entitled ‘What To Do If You Get Locked Out of Your House?’
“We’ve all witnessed on television and film how house keys can be hidden in planter boxes, under door mats, in mailboxes, under rubbish bins, and even taped inside gutters,” states the article. “These ideas may seem witty, but it isn’t something professional locksmiths like LockedOut London would recommend. It just takes a pair of prying eyes to see where you’ve hidden them.”
The article relates that one should choose ‘a locksmith and make sure they are licensed by the Master Locksmith Association or MLA. This verifies that the locksmith you got in touch with is not actually a burglar in disguise.
“If you’re renting your property then call your landlord or letting agents,” stated Connolly further, “Most reputable agents will have an emergency contact number and be able to supply you with a spare key. Prepare for this by finding this number out and storing it in your phone.”
Another recommendation is to find ‘immediate neighbours or have relatives nearby, have a spare key made and have them hang on to it’.
