RX Fitness Equipment, a fitness and exercise equipment retailer in Thousand Oaks, CA is proud to welcome Matt Shandy to the team as a Sales Associate. Matt joins RX Fitness with an extensive personal background in the fitness world.

Matt Shandy is from Colorado, but grew up in a family that worked for the government, so he has had the privilege of living all over the United States. As a Sports Performance Nutritionist and Master Trainer, Matt has a strong background in a variety of sports and understands what it takes to be an elite athlete. He has competed in several sports at the highest levels, including freestyle skiing, football, tennis and mixed martial arts.

Matt's goal as a member of the team at RX Fitness Equipment is to provide the best advice and service possible to all of his clients and customers. Like Tim Adams, owner of RX Fitness, Matt believes the most important result is that every customer gets the right piece of equipment for their particular needs and budget. The mission at RX Fitness Equipment is to sell the customer what he really needs, not what most benefits the bottom line. Tim and Matt believe this will result in life-long relationships with their clientele, which is their objective.

"Matt comes to us with a perspective on the fitness equipment industry that we didn't have before, one of a high-level user of almost everything we sell," said owner Tim Adams. "I have been selling exercise equipment for almost 30 years, and I can explain exactly what each piece is intended for and what it can do for your fitness routine. Matt started as a certified personal trainer before becoming a sports performance nutritionist. He has been a gym manager, owner and has even worked in the corporate gym world for several years.
