Uncontested Divorce Mediator SplitSimple Names Amber Franks as Their 2022 Social Work Scholar

She was chosen from 10 finalists from about 70 applications. She was recently accepted into the Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate program at Texas State University. Participants of the scholarship contest had to submit an essay that explains their inspiration for focusing their studies on social work. She is a first generation college student.

The MSW degree program at the Texas State University School of Social Work provides an opportunity for college-degreed individuals who are interested in contributing to the betterment of society. The program is based on a liberal arts perspective and the graduates of this program have been observed to have shown excellent results in the state licensing exams and have gained employment across a broad range of service delivery fields. This program has been fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and graduates are eligible for state licensure.

Applications for the scholarship have to be submitted not later than September 1, and the winner is determined not later than September 20 every year. To be eligible, applicants have to be currently enrolled in a college or university program in the US, must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at their current university of college, and they must submit an essay on what inspired them to study social work, their unofficial transcript of records, and a letter of recommendation. This is a one-time scholarship of $500 that can help with some of the financial needs of students.
