Pasadena, CA - Pasadena Tree Services announced today the launch of its new Youth Tree Care program, aimed at empowering local youth through urban forestry. The first-of-its-kind program will offer students in Pasadena the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tree care and maintenance and learn about the importance of preserving and protecting the local environment.

The program is the brainchild of Bernett Rojas, CEO of Pasadena Tree Services, who saw it as an opportunity to give back to the community while also helping introduce young people to urban forestry. "For many years, I have seen young people's passion for the environment," said Rojas. "We wanted to create a program that would give them access to the tools and skills needed to make a real difference."

Certified Pasadena Tree Service Experts

The program will be open to all high school students in the Pasadena area, ages 16 to 18. Participants will receive a comprehensive introduction to tree care through workshops and seminars led by experienced professionals. They will also have access to hands-on training in pruning, fertilizing, planting, and other tree maintenance activities.

In addition to learning about tree care, participants will also be equipped with knowledge of the importance of preserving and protecting urban forests. They will study topics such as climate change and its effects on tree health, different types of trees and their benefits, soil conservation, and more.

After the program, participants will receive certificates of completion and have the chance to be hired as part-time assistants by Pasadena Tree Services. "Our ultimate goal is to empower young people in our community to positively impact their environment and support them in their future careers," said Rojas.

The Youth Tree Care Program will begin in the second half of 2023 and run through 2024. Applications are now being accepted and can be submitted through Pasadena Tree Services' website or sent via mail.

Rojas concluded his remarks by saying, "I hope this program will inspire a new generation of tree care professionals who understand the importance of preserving and protecting urban forests."
