December 23, 2015 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
The Lookout, a lakefront village on Lake Chelan, is proud to look back on another year of making the Lake Chelan Valley a better place for kids and health-focused activities.
The Lookout sponsored numerous teams with Chelan Parks & Rec as well as another team with Manson Parks & Rec. The money raised through their sponsorship of the annual ChelanMan event went to many local non-profits, from arts and literature programs, to science and sports activities.
ChelanMan is an annual non-profit event held in July with a weekend filled with running and family events. Included in the festivities are a first-timer triathlon, a sprint, Olympic, and Half-Iron triathlons as well as a 10K and Half-Marathon run. There’s even a Splash-n-Dash for families.
Just a few examples of the groups and organizations that benefitted from the monies raised:

Shakespeare at the High School

College in the Classroom (supported entirely by ChelanMan, pays for students-in-need who qualify for College classes)

Evening of Excellence

Tennis Team, 2015 Season

Track and Field club, Football club, Volleyball club, Wrestling club, Interact club.

The Lookout is dedicated to continuing its support of area events and causes, under the leadership of Guy Evans, the General Manager of The Lookout. Guy is a fifth-generation native to Chelan and works tirelessly to make the Chelan community a better place. Guy is the newly-elected president of the Chelan Chamber of Commerce, as well as the President of the Lake Chelan Trails Alliance
In his free time Guy enjoys skiing, hiking, running, supporting his church, and spending time with his daughter Jessie.
