The schedule of events for the Sesquicentennial Celebration of the Village of Cambridge, NY, has been released. The celebration is set to take place on Saturday July 16, 2016, and run throughout most of the day. Village government officials state that there will be loads of activities to enjoy.
Trustee James Sweeney states, "It's going to be a day filled with celebration, fun, food, and more. We look forward to seeing everyone there."
The Cambridge Fire Department celebration will begin with a parade at 10:00 a.m. with float awards immediately following at Durrin Park. Beginning at noon and running until 2:00 p.m., the Fire Department Muster Events at Cambridge Central School and Durrin Park will host food vendors, music, and Argyle Brewing.
The Main Street Block Party is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will feature food vendors on Broad Street as well as children's activities in Rail Road Park, music and a picnic on Main Street, and various vendors up and down Yellow Brick Path at Rail Road Park. Round House Cafe will be open during the festivities.

Sweeney says that between 6:00 p.m. and up until the fireworks show, a dance at Durrin Park will commence and will feature the Band Thirsty. A raffle draw will take place to determine the winner for the Fire Department painting during the band's break.
Finally, Sweeney says that at 10:00 p.m. the Super Sesquicentennial Fireworks will take place. During this time, Main Street will be closed at St Luke's Place to Washington Street. Municipal parking will be available on Washington Street and Broad Street will be accessible from Spring Street. Handicap accessible restrooms will be available throughout the celebration on Main Street and at Durrin Park.
