The TNVOC Business Matchmaker will facilitate Veteran Business Enterprises (VBEs) to have one-on-one, face to face meetings to discuss business opportunities and connect with major corporations, giving them a cutting edge over competitors to secure government and corporate contracts. "If you are a Veteran-owned business, looking to connect, grow and succeed in business, this is the place to be," stated Ben Fatola, Vice President of TNVOC.
"The matchmaking sessions will not only allow VBEs to showcase their products and services to potential buyers, but also network, team and partner with fellow VBEs for contracting opportunities and future ventures," he added.
The event also promises exciting and informative panel sessions hosted by industry leaders to help VBEs get the knowledge, training and business-savvy skills they need to grow their business. Speaker panelists include Kimberly Marcus, Director, Supplier Diversity at AARP and Rashmi Chaturvedi, President of Kaygen.
Kimberly Marcus comes to AARP with 17+ years of combined experience in both the corporate and non-profit worlds. AARP not only seeks to work with diverse suppliers, but also serves them by helping them grow their businesses and promoting them in the marketplace.
Rashmi leads Kaygen’s team of data visionaries, bringing to her role a career of excellence in data strategy and analysis.
Rashmi urges business owners to "Keep your passion alive. As an entrepreneur you wear many hats and are involved in different tasks but as long as you have the drive to take the risk and see the bigger picture you will succeed. Set your goals high and you will reach them one day."
The event concludes with the Veteran Impact Awards ceremony that will celebrate the achievements of leaders who have made an impact on the Veteran community by demonstrating their sustained proven track record of outreach and support to Military Veterans and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBEs).
