The National Veterans Opportunity Coalition (TNVOC)'s 1st Inaugural National ShoeShine Connection Conference was held on September 10th, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa, in Indian Wells, California.
This unique event featured the TNVOC Business Matchmaker, where Veteran Business Enterprises (VBEs) had the unique opportunity to have face to face meetings with buyers and procurement officers from leading corporations to discuss business and contracting opportunities, potentially giving them an edge over their competition to secure corporate and Federal contracts.

"We would like to extend a very special thank you to the participating corporations for investing and supporting in TNVOC. With the support of the corporations reaching out to do business with VBEs, the event was a hit!" he added.
The event also featured enlightening and educational panel sessions presented by industry leaders, exhibitor booth displays, and culminated with the Veteran Impact Awards ceremony.
The President of TNVOC, Jonathan Nimrod presented the TNVOC Veteran Business Champion of The Year to Sharon Jacobs, Lieutenant Colonel, US Army, TNVOC Advocate of the Year and TNVOC Corporate of the Year to Kimberly Marcus, Director of Supplier Diversity, AARP, TNVOC Ambassador of the Year – Rashmi Chaturvedi, President Kaygen, TNVOC Community Partner Award – Pamela Williamson, Ph.D., President, WBEC-West, and the 2018 TNVOC Impact Award to Lance Dorsey, Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity for McKesson Corporation and Staci L.
