CoachVille, LLC has announced the next book for their Book Club for coaches and coach approach leaders: The Hero With A Thousand Faces, by Joseph Campbell.
The CoachVille Book club explores books with this question: “How can this book help me play life bigger and coach life better?” The CoachVille Book Club meets virtually via conference call on Mondays from 7 – 8 PM ET and is free for any coach or leader anywhere in the world. There is also a vibrant Facebook group for coaches who cannot make it to the conference calls.
The book club is hosted by David Buck, MCC, one of the founders of the life coaching profession, and Coach Erin Brimmer.
Buck says, “In the CoachVille Book club we do more than read a book, we play with a book. We look for creative ways to experiment with the ideas of the book in our personal lives. Then we introduce the best experiments to our clients.”
Buck says, “‘The Hero With A Thousand Faces’ is a very important book for anyone who coaches. In fact, I believe that it will make you a better coach. We know that the archetypes of the Heroes Journey are deep within all of us at a non-conscious level. This is why we resonate so strongly with hero stories.”
Buck says, “Almost every person I coach sees themselves as a Hero on a big adventure. The Heroes Journey is the Human story.”
The Book Club will host an introduction to the book on March 25th from 7-8 PM.
The book will be discussed from Monday April 1, 2019 – to June 10, 2019.

Buck emphasizes that one does not have to read the entire book in order to benefit from participating in the Book Club. This is not school! Even if one reads a few pages they can participate, have fun and learn a lot from everyone in the group.
