August 07, 2015 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

San Diego - CA, July 24, 2015
The Maritime Alliance (TMA) participated in the Esri International User Conference (Esri UC), which is the world's largest event dedicated to geographic information system (GIS) technology which took place in San Diego, California on July 20 - 24.
The purpose of TMA attendance was to help attendees gain an understanding of the size and growth of the Blue Economy, to showcase the wide range of good paying ocean related jobs, and to meet new potential Blue Technology partners.
According to The Maritime Alliance President, Michael Jones, “We found more innovative technologies, and created more new relationships this year, than in any year before.”
Kellyn Baker, TMA Program Manager felt that, “Our attendance at this event is helping us create a space for maritime technologies, and to prepare for our BlueTech & Blue Economy Summit on Nov 9th and 10th.”
Being located directly across from Esri's Startup Zone at the event helped introduce the Maritime Alliance to many new technologies that will have a large impact on ocean technology, while creating more ocean jobs.
Eric Westreich, TMA Consultant, was excited to see the thirty five up-and-coming businesses in Esri's Startup Zone. "The Maritime Alliance's new Blue Technology Incubator effort makes the capabilities that we saw this year even more exciting than usual."
