Stamford American International School Celebrates 10 Roaring Years

At the beginning of this school year in August, Stamford American International School celebrated 10 amazing years with a day full of music, cupcakes, fun and laughter and temporary tattoos.

Stamford started out at temporary campus at Lorong Chuan, admitting its first cohort of 72 students back in August 2009. In 2012 the school moved to a purpose built, state-of-the-art campus and continued to grow. Today, 10 years on, Stamford is a school of over 3,000 students from over 75 different nationalities, across both its Woodleigh and Early Learning Village Campus.
Over the past decade, Stamford has grown to truly become a place where students, parents, teachers, and staff from all nationalities gather to create innumerable unique experiences to carry with them throughout their lives.


As part of the day’s celebrations, students watched a special video message from Superintendent Dr. Eric Sands and were treated to Stamford mini cupcakes and temporary tattoos.

While fixing a celebratory temporary tattoo to his arm, Grade 3 student, Philip, remarked that it was an exciting day to be a Stamford Lion.

On this significant milestone, Dr. Eric Sands, Superintendent of Stamford American International School, said, “I have been very fortunate to learn and work in such a diverse, passionate, and caring community. Our 10-year journey has been extraordinary to say the least, and I am extremely proud and humbled to have had the opportunity to be a part of it.”
