Products offered as an alternative to toilet paper often called “flush-ables” are not good for pipes as the packaging may claim. “In this time of toilet paper shortage folks need to be reminded that baby wipes and hand wipes even if the container says flush-able  are not flush-able,” urged owner Scott Hoods. “That only means it will go through the toilet. All items other than toilet paper should be thrown in the trash,” he continued.

Anyone forced to use flush-ables should keep a trash can with a plastic bag in their bathroom. If the waste management system starts to have a large back up of flush-ables or any other product coming down the pipes, this could cause the city to have to waste valuable resources in troubled times.
