Milton, Fla. – During the Coronavirus pandemic, many activities, as well as ways of life, have been changed. Baseball season came to a halt, schools have been released for the duration of the school year, and many businesses and restaurants have been closed temporarily. That does not mean that there are not some options in things to do during this time to remain in quarantine. Outdoor activities, as long as they are still followed with the 6-foot apart rule, can make the time quarantining go by much quicker, as suggested by a Milton RV park.
Avalon Landing RV Park in Milton, FL offers a few outdoor activities inside of their park such as on-site saltwater fishing. Avalon Landing provides a site-specific pier saltwater fishing license that enables all of Avalon’s guests to fish off the dock and bridge without a Florida saltwater fishing license. These typically cost between $17-47 depending on a few factors. Guests of the park have caught Flounder, Sea Trout, Redfish, and Blue Crabs. The park also has loaner fishing equipment that is for those licenses or age exempt that may want to float fish.
Avalon Landing also provides nature trails for the family to enjoy throughout Blackwater State Trails. These extend 8 miles north and ends at the Naval Air Station Whiting Field. These trails go through the town of Milton and run through to the trailhead at the intersection of State Road 87 and U.S. Highway 90 in Milton. There is a visitor center, parking, restrooms, tables, grills, a playground, and an amphitheater. The Naval Like Oaks is another place that offers fishing, hiking, and picnicking. There are miles of trails to wonder as well.
