May 27, 2020 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
Pensacola, Fla. – Florida is officially one of the first states in America to begin reopening. Businesses that were deemed “non-essential” are reopening. According to an executive order given by Florida governor Ron DeSantis on May 15th, restaurants, gyms, retail stores, and other similar businesses can now operate at 50% capacity.
In response to the reopening, many previously shutdown industries are determining the best way to come back to meeting and gathering while remaining safe and cautious.
Craig Vigodsky, a family lawyer in Pensacola, FL is one of many lawyers who are asking the same question. Vigodsky and his local Pensacola law firm are excited to be able to serve their community in a face to face format again but are concerned that their clients may not know how to best handle the situation.
In late March, Craig Vigodsky, in accordance with advisements from the Governor, recommended that divorced parents rethink their current visitation arrangements. It was difficult for parents to maintain a balance between what the court ruled and what was practical and safe when the shutdowns began. Vigodsky recommended parents either verbally agree on a new arrangement or continue regular visitations by exercising caution.
Now that the shutdowns are ending in Florida, the Pensacola divorce attorney recommends that parents who had agreed on different visitation terms go back to the original court ordered ones to maintain consistency with the law. Craig Vigodsky also recommended consulting his law office for legal advice on how to go forward with visitation schedules.
