Today PrimeEffects reported that their Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn is compact enough to fit in most any available free space on a motorcycle or scooter, without need for changing or removing any factory items. The Screaming Banshee is an electric air horn that hooks into the existing motorcycle or scooter electrical system, and can either be used to support the existing horn warning system, or can be wired directly to become the default horn. When activated it emits a variable high-pitch warning that reaches decibel levels of 130 deceibels and above.

The Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn comes with the needed wiring and mounting hardware to mount and connect it to the motorcycle or scooter's existing horn and electrical system. When wired in-line the Screaming Banshee activates with a sustained depression of the horn button, longer than 0.2 seconds. Shorter presses or taps activate the factory horn. When activated the Screaming Banshee also flashes the high beams, adding a visual component to the warning system.
"At 130 plus decibels the air horn makes a noise louder than a typical emergency siren," says Mr. Jepsen. "In fact, that volume is about as loud as a military fighter jet at takeoff. Everyone in your immediate environment and up to three blocks away will hear you. With this horn you will get the attention of other drivers."
The Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn is 4.5 x 5.2 x 3.5 inches, and weighs 2.4 pounds. It is available on Amazon, and includes an installation PDF and links to an installation video. It comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty.
