Today PrimeEffects announced that their Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn includes all necessary mounting and wiring hardware. The Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn is a compact electric air horn designed to attach to or supplement the existing horn system of a motorcycle or scooter.
"The kit has everything you need," says CEO and founder of PrimeEffects, Philip Jepsen. "The horn itself is very compact, and is designed to fit into just about any small available space. It's easily mounted, and the wiring is all here to either hook it into the existing horn system, or you can wire it to stand alone."
When wired to the factory horn system the Screaming Banshee works in conjuntion with the horn, and activates only after a brief, sustained press of the horn button. Pressing and holding the horn button activates the air horn; short taps of the factory horn button activates the standard motorcycle or scooter horn. When activated the Screaming Banshee emits a dual volume sound, rated at over 130 decibels. It also activates the high beams, adding a visual component to the warning system.
"The whole idea of this horn is to get everyone's attention in your immediate environment and focus it directly on you," says Mr. Jepsen. "This horn does exactly that. It's extremely loud -- over 130 decibels, which is louder than a standard emergency siren -- and it flashes the lights, which gets all eyes looking at you. As a warning system this is one of the best solutions out there."
The Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn is intended to enhance safety for motorcycle and scooter riders. It is available on Amazon and includes instructions and all wires and parts needed.
