Asde from their identifying information, such as the business’ name, contact details and industry, the questionnaire asks how many W-2s they issued in 2020 and 2021 and whether they operated under a full or partial shutdown order. After the questionnaire is submitted, the client can also use the company’s secure portal to upload all other relevant information, such as their 941 returns, PPP loan documents and raw payroll data. ERTC GOV will take over completely at this point, using all materials provided to calculate the credit the business can receive from the IRS. Step 4 of the process involves the team preparing the 941-X Amended payroll returns (and helping the client file them as required). Finally, the IRS will process the business’ credit and mail them a check.
