Lighthouse Treatment Center Hosts First Annual Alumni Retreat

Anaheim, California - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California, hosted its first annual alumni retreat. The 3-day camping event, which took place on August 28th to the 31st, provided attendees with opportunities to expand their understanding of the recovery experience.

Sara Alba, the alumni coordinator at the Lighthouse, shared that the retreat was a success and that plans are already underway for next year’s event. “Our alumni are an important part of our community, and we want to provide them with a platform to stay engaged, be of service, and continue growing in their recovery,” she said. “This retreat was a great way to do that. We hope that the experience helped our alumni feel connected to each other and the Lighthouse community.”

During the retreat, workshops and activities were designed to help members of the Lighthouse Alumni Program deepen their understanding of sobriety. The event also provided a chance for attendees to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

Roger B., a member of the Lighthouse Treatment Center Alumni Program, said that he is grateful for the opportunity to attend the retreat. "This retreat was something really exciting for us, alumni," shared Roger. "It gave me a chance to reset and re-ignite my recovery. At the same time, it was a way to keep us connected and focused on what really matters."

Deborah G, another attendee of the retreat, said that she was happy to try something new. "I've always wanted to try camping," she said. "Lighthouse has given me so many opportunities to try new things and to experience life in recovery through meaningful experiences."
