Anaheim, California - Lighthouse Treatment Center, a leading drug and alcohol rehab center in Orange County, is proud to announce its participation as a community partner in the 4th Annual Recovery Rally, organized by The Purpose of Recovery. Scheduled for August 24, 2024, at Elks Lodge in Garden Grove, CA, this event promises to be a vibrant celebration of recovery and community support.
The Recovery Rally, a signature event by The Purpose of Recovery, aims to provide essential information and resources to the community. The rally will cover a diverse range of topics including mental health, treatment centers, dental work, various sober living facilities, housing, suicide prevention, educational assistance such as GED classes and college course help, food drives and pantries, support for couples and families in need, resume help, career opportunities, and many other crucial services.
Heidy Hunter, Alumni Coordinator at Lighthouse Treatment Center, expressed her enthusiasm about the event, stating that it serves as an ideal event for Lighthouse alumni to gather and support each other.
"We're honored to be part of the 4th Annual Recovery Rally. This event embodies our mission of promoting recovery and community support. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the resilience of individuals in recovery and the invaluable contributions of recovery allies and community partners. Additionally, it is a perfect platform for our alumni to connect with each other and continue their journey towards lasting sobriety," said Hunter.
The 4th Recovery Rally will be held from 9 am to 2 pm and admission is free for everyone. It will include a diverse range of events, such as community partner booths and tables, performances, recovery speakers, music, refreshments, and various enjoyable activities. The event is family-friendly, offering a bounce house and playground for children. Registered attendees will enjoy a free boxed lunch, as well as free coffee and pastries at 9 am.
The Recovery Rally also serves as an opportunity to acknowledge Overdose Awareness Day, which falls on August 31. The event will highlight the roles of professionals, peers, service providers, donors, friends, and family in promoting the message that "Recovery is for Everyone" – every person, every family, every community. By reducing stigma, bridging gaps, and creating a network of resources, the rally aims to help individuals and families heal, stabilize, and find purpose in their recovery journeys.
"This event is a testament to the power of community and the importance of collective effort in supporting recovery," said Heidy Hunter. "We look forward to connecting with attendees, sharing resources, and celebrating the incredible strength and resilience of those in recovery."
