November 24, 2015 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
Lisa Swanson, owner of Dharma Acupuncture in Scottsdale, participated in a fundraising event last weekend at the Self-Realization Fellowship temple in Phoenix, AZ. The fundraiser was established to help raise funds for the temple's building expansion project, set to begin once funds for the $2.5M budget are collected. With 90% of the budget met, last weekend's efforts yielded close to $16,000. Volunteers from around the area were in attendance, helping to make the event successful.
Lisa Swanson is a licensed acupuncturist currently practicing in Scottsdale AZ. Swanson donated acupuncture services, along with herbal consultations, and essential oil treatments. The day provided an opportunity to educate those interested in the benefits of acupuncture, which Swanson states are numerous.
The fundraiser was a successful event with more than 50 volunteers helping out with various tasks. One volunteer left the day stating, "The spirit of generosity and the harmony in working together are the definite highlights. It was a wonderful experience!"
Lisa Swanson studied acupuncture at the Acupuncture Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA and became a Licensed Practitioner (L.Ac.) in 2008. She received a portion of her education at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, and has been providing natural medicine for more than 15 years.
Swanson states that the fundraiser was a huge success, with many learning about these more effective methods of treatment while helping to raise money for the building expansion project.
Those interested in learning more about the methods of treatment used, or about the clinic in general can visit Dharma Acupuncture on their official website.
