March 24, 2016 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Carson City, NV company Home and Garden America has published a blog post providing tips on container gardening. The company has indicated that their goal is to get America growing again. To do this, they have produced a seed bank, a vault that contains nearly 20,000 seeds from 105 different seeding, edible, plant varieties. However, their goal is not just to provide people with seeds, it is also to provide them with the information they need in order to get the most out of the product. Hence, they frequently publish new blog posts like the one on container gardening.

"We want to make sure that people are able to grow their own, healthy, organic food," says Chuck Harmon from Home and Garden America. "This is why our seed bank is so perfect, because it contains a variety of different seeds, all of which are non GMO. But we know not everybody is born naturally with green thumbs. Hence, we aim to give them a helping hand by publishing blogs and other pieces of information to help them out."

The blog post is proving to be particularly popular with people who live in urban areas. Space is often scarce, and many people believe that they are unable to grow produce if they only have a balcony. Fortunately, this is where container gardening can help, as it requires minimal space and no actual ground is needed for growing. Rather, organic soil can be used in the containers to enhance the overall quality of the plant itself.

"Container growing is amazing," adds Chuck Harmon. "Not only is it really useful for people who have limited space, it is also very beautiful. Plus, it allows for very easy crop rotation, which means you get more out of your soil and your plants. It really is a worthwhile addition to your emergency kit."

The company has also released their survival seeds vault video on YouTube. This has been created to show people the various ways to get the most out of their own vault. By planting the seeds properly and increasing their chance of germination, they will produce new seeds again, thereby also contributing to the original seed vault. All of this and more is explained in the video and on the blog.
