LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman recently commented on a worker’s injury after he fell during a construction accident. Moverman stated that he wishes the man a speedy and successful recovery as the accident is investigated.
KSNT News reported that a worker in Kansas who had fallen at a construction site at Seaton Hall was rushed to the hospital following the incident. He was taken to Manhattan’s Via Christi Hospital and his condition was not immediately known, reports said. The accident remained under investigation.
Slips, trips, and falls are among some of the most common accidents to occur on construction sites. These types of accidents in addition to electrocution and being stuck between objects or struck by them, accounted for over half of construction worker deaths in 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The OSHA reported that more than 20 percent of all work-related fatalities in 2013 were employed in the construction industry and that one in five of the 4,821 reported fatalities in 2014 were also in the construction industry.
