Acting President, WID Mid-Atlantic Chapter, and Retired Lt. Colonel joins National Vet Group

Ms. Sharon Jacobs was recently appointed to the Honorary Advisory Board (HAB) of The National Veterans Opportunity Coalition (TNVOC).

Ms. Jacobs is the Acting President (Second Term), Women in Defense Mid-Atlantic Chapter that meets regularly at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. She’s also an active Harford County resident and community leader in Havre de Grace, Maryland with expertise in business operations and relationship building.

Sharon retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving 22 years from 1989 – 2011 as a PATRIOT Weapon System and Acquisition Corp Officer.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Georgia Southern College, Statesboro, Georgia in 1989, a Master of Science degree in Systems Acquisition Management in 1999 from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and is currently enrolled in Capella University focusing on her Doctorate of Business Administration specializing in Project Management. Additionally, she is enrolled in Harford Community College to complete the Cybersecurity Certificate Program designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. Sharon is married to Colonel (Retired) Ronald Jacobs, Jr. and they have one daughter, Joycelyn Yvette.
