The Cost Rica School of Massage Therapy (CRSMT), which is based in Playa Samara, Costa Rica, has announced that they will be hosting a RockTape workshop. The kinesiotaping workshop will be offered by Dr. Steve Capo, a highly respected sports chiropractor and expert on human movement and functional taping methodology. It will be the first time that the school will offer such a workshop, and the current massage therapy students are very excited about it. Those interested in the event are encouraged to register their interest at http://pxlme.me/DGwdHZEw, and to do so quickly, as the event will take place on October 30th and 31st, 2017.
To ensure more people are able to register their interest in time for the course itself, the CRSMT has also launched their Facebook event, which can be found at http://pxlme.me/gEU4H1l6. So far, many have indicated their interest in participating in the workshop.
Courtney Krenz from CRSMT says: "This course introduces the concept of movement therapy and enhancement via functional taping methods. It includes a review of the current literature supporting the theory of kinesiology taping for the purposes of rehabilitation, edema/swelling management, neuropathic pain, scar mobility and postural management. FMT Basic is an evidence-informed kinesiology taping course that redefines our understanding of the effects of elastic therapeutic taping on pain mitigation, circulation and proprioception. FMT Basic lays the groundwork for a practical framework of 'taping movement, not muscles' to replace an outdated model focused on directional taping to activate or inhibit muscles."
Dr. Steve Capobianco is highly respected in his field. The CRSMT is very excited to be able to offer one of his workshops and looks forward to developing more partnerships with him.
