Norfolk, VA – G & W Gifts and Awards by Allogram South, a custom engraving shop in Norfolk, is taking advantage of the COVID-19 closures and beginning renovations to their production floor and warehouse to better serve their customers. With many businesses forced to temporarily close and all events cancelled due to the pandemic, awards shops such as G & W Gifts and Awards have experienced a significant drop in sales. However, G & W Gifts and Awards is using this time to focus on the positive and undergo renovations that will ultimately improve the efficiency of the store.
As one of the top awards shops in the Norfolk area, G & W Gifts and Awards by Allogram South is constantly fulfilling orders for customers and looking for ways to better the flow of production. According to Amanda Gianotti, President of G & W Gifts and Awards, “the renovations to the production area are intended to increase collaboration and workflow. Previously, production was done in 4 individual rooms. We removed the walls between these rooms to allow a better workflow and improve communications. The flow of production from the equipment now ends in an assembly area which then flows out for the order to be photographed and invoiced.” Additionally, the showroom is undergoing renovations, including the addition of three large windows, painting and updating displays.
