GrowUpSmart, which is a manufacturer of educational and fun board games for children and adults, has recently announced that their popular 16 inch chess set is now available in some European countries. The Smart Tactics Chess Set series has been made available via the Amazon marketplace platform in Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. Martin Reinhold with GrowUpSmart says, "We recently expanded on to the Amazon UK platform and this just seemed to be the the next logical step."
The chess set, which can be seen at http://growupsmart.com/smart-tactics-chess-set/, has gained mass popularity since it was first introduced just a short time ago. The series includes three different versions of the game, one for each level of play.
"Chess is a classic game of strategy and skill," says Reinhold. "Our aim with this series is to promote the play of intelligent, skillful games by children and give them something aside from television and video games to occupy their time."
Reinhold states that the company is happy to be able to offer the game series to children in countries other than the United States, and says that this has always been the ultimate goal. The chess game series includes a Standard, Plus, and Premium Edition, each of which will now be available internationally. The Standard Edition includes everything needed for beginners to learn and begin enjoying the game. The Plus and Premium Editions also include everything that comes in the Standard Edition but with extras such as a carry bag and additional playing pieces.
Reinhold states that studies show a link between chess and the improvement of memory in children. He states that playing chess can also help to improve numerical and spatial skills problem solving and logical thinking. He says that the company made the chess series their flagship product and that it has taken off much better than they anticipated, which ultimately led to the decision to offer the series on Amazon in various different countries.
