GrowUpSmart is a manufacturer of educational toys and games. Reinhold says that teachers are purchasing the board game to be used in their class. He states that the company is seeing orders of 10 to 15 games meant for school classes. The survey found that it is the teachers who have been purchasing in large quantities the tic-tac-toe game on Amazon, where a number of other board games are offered by the company.
"Our ultimate goal is to provide games for children, teenagers, and even adults that will teach them something," says Reinhold. "We're above the computer and video game set and want to create games that help to teach children memory, strategy, and a number of other vital life skills."
Reinhold says that tic-tac-toe is a good game to allow children to learn about strategy and logical thinking. The game by GrowUpSmart is convenient and safe for children because it has no loose parts. Children simply turn the pieces within the squares on the board to place their play choice. The game board is 5.5 by 5.5 inches and made completely of wood. Reinhold states that in addition to being handy in the classroom, the game is made small enough to be very convenient for travel.
The company states that the game comes with an access code that provides a set of online instruction videos to teach beginners how to play as well as a few strategies for winning. Reinhold says that children love the game in general, which is likely what makes it such an appealing classroom game for teachers, along with the fact that it teaches solid skills that children can use later in life.
