Anaheim, California - Anaheim Lighthouse, a leading drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California, hosted its alumni and their families to the 28th Annual Anaheim Tree Lighting Festival & Holiday Village on December 3, 2022. The attendees had the opportunity to connect with other alumni while enjoying holiday entertainment, food, and fun.
Sara Alba, Alumni Coordinator of Anaheim Lighthouse, said that the Lighthouse is proud to have been a part of this amazing holiday celebration as a way to support a community tradition.
“It was an honor to have our alumni join us at the Anaheim Tree Lighting Festival. Every year we have the opportunity to celebrate with our community and share about the resources that are available for those in need of recovery. This is a great way for our alumni to engage in positive activities while giving back to others who may be facing similar struggles,” said Alba.
The Anaheim Lighthouse alumni who attended the festival were able to participate in a variety of holiday happenings including holiday crafts, unique shopping opportunities, pictures with Santa Claus, and of course, witness the stunning Christmas tree.
The celebration also brought together many members of the Anaheim Lighthouse alumni community who shared their joys of sobriety. It was a special night for the alumni to come together, reflect on their journey, and support one another. The event provided an outlet for happiness and hope that encourages steps towards a brighter future.
Dennis L., one of the Lighthouse alumni at the festival, spoke about his experience: “This was an awesome way to get into the holiday spirit. I met so many new people and saw familiar faces. After going through rehabilitation, it was great to be able to give back by attending a family-friendly event like this one. I am grateful to have had an opportunity to connect with the community in a very uplifting way."
