Anaheim, California - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a leading drug and alcohol addiction recovery facility located in Anaheim, California, attended the Yellowstone Recovery 25th Anniversary Fundraiser held at the Marconi Automotive Museum on February 17, 2024 to support and celebrate the non-profit organization's efforts in helping individuals overcome the challenges of drug and alcohol addiction.
The fundraiser, which marks a significant milestone for Yellowstone Recovery, aims to provide scholarships for individuals seeking treatment but does not have the means to afford it. Attended by various community leaders, business owners, and individuals passionate about the cause, the event was a huge success in raising funds and spreading awareness about addiction recovery.
As a supporter of this meaningful event, the Lighthouse Treatment Center reaffirmed its commitment to champion efforts that promote recovery and offer hope to those battling addiction. The center's team also took the opportunity to connect with other organizations and individuals working towards the same goal, further strengthening their network and resources in the fight against substance abuse.
Heidy Hunter, Alumni Coordinator at the Lighthouse Treatment Center, expressed her enthusiasm for the event underlining how much the Lighthouse Treatment Center recognizes the importance of community and peer support in the recovery process.
“Our team at Lighthouse Treatment Center is honored to be a part of this event and contribute towards such a noble cause. We believe that everyone deserves a second chance at life, and we are committed to supporting Yellowstone Recovery in their efforts to provide disadvantaged individuals with access to quality addiction treatment. It was also amazing to hear the stories of people who have recovered from their addictions. It's very inspiring to see people get their lives back, especially learning that one of them is our very own coworker as well," said Hunter.
Anita Grimes, Intake Specialist at the Lighthouse Treatment Center, also shared her heartfelt sentiments about attending the fundraiser. She shared how Yellowstone Recovery was instrumental in her own recovery journey and how their programs and support helped many people, including herself, overcome their challenges and turn their lives around.
"Attending this fundraiser, aimed at providing scholarships to individuals facing addiction, was truly an honor and a blessing. Just as Yellowstone Recovery offered me a new path on May 20th, 2002, I am now able to witness them providing this opportunity to others. I am privileged to be here with the Lighthouse Treatment Center team and I appreciate their support in acquiring a table and extending invitations to coworkers, my spouse, and myself. The evening at Marconi Automotive Museum was delightful, with good food, fun, friends, music, and dancing. Recovery is indeed a blessing," said Grimes.
The Lighthouse Treatment Center's support for Yellowstone Recovery's milestone fundraiser exemplifies its commitment to fostering a supportive community for individuals on the path to recovery.
