The COO of First Aid Shoppe, Anna Loehwing, reported today that the mid-size 3.4 ounce version of their Natrapel 8 Pump Spray has enough of the Natrapel insect repellent solution to support multiple applications and/or multiple users. It is small enough to fit in a small carry pouch or even a pocket, and has enough of the Picaridin based formula to treat a small group or people. As with all Natrapel personal insect repellent products the Natrapel 8 Pump Spray uses a DEET-free Picaridin formula. Picaridin is a CDC recommended alternative to DEET. The "8" in the Natrapel 8 name indicates a concentration that provides 8 hours of protection from biting insects and ticks. In clinical trials the Picaridin in Natrapel products consistently demonstrates equal or better performance to DEET against biting insects. The mid-size 3.4 ounce bottle option provides an intermediary option for one day use where more than one person is involved. Larger than the personal sizes, it yet can be stored in most of the same small spaces, and does not require the storage room of the larger options.
