First Aid Shoppe Announces Mid-Size Bottle Option For Their Natrapel Insect Repellent

May 31, 2016

May 31, 2016 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

The COO of First Aid Shoppe, Anna Loehwing, reported today that the mid-size 3.4 ounce version of their Natrapel 8 Pump Spray has enough of the Natrapel insect repellent solution to support multiple applications and/or multiple users. It is small enough to fit in a small carry pouch or even a pocket, and has enough of the Picaridin based formula to treat a small group or people. As with all Natrapel personal insect repellent products the Natrapel 8 Pump Spray uses a DEET-free Picaridin formula. Picaridin is a CDC recommended alternative to DEET. The "8" in the Natrapel 8 name indicates a concentration that provides 8 hours of protection from biting insects and ticks. First Aid Shoppe is a first aid and survival gear company catering to outdoorsmen and sports enthusiasts.

"This is the perfect sized bottle to take with you in a small group," says Ms. Loehwing. "It's small enough to stick in your pocket, certainly small enough to fit easily in your pack or gear bag, and yet it has enough for you and several of your friends. This is the thing to treat with right before you get your day started to keep the bugs away all day."

In clinical trials the Picaridin in Natrapel products consistently demonstrates equal or better performance to DEET against biting insects. Unlike DEET Picaridin is safe on gear and will not melt jackets, fishing line, and other synthetic materials. The mid-size 3.4 ounce bottle option provides an intermediary option for one day use where more than one person is involved. Larger than the personal sizes, it yet can be stored in most of the same small spaces, and does not require the storage room of the larger options.

"Users like the Natrapel product line because of the Picaridin formula and the fact that it's not harsh on gear," says Ms. Loehwing. "You can spray it on everything and you're totally safe. The bugs, however, won't be."

The mid-size Natrapel 8 Pump Spray is part of the line of Natrapel products offered by First Aid Shoppe. All items in the Natrapel line use Picaridin instead of DEET as their active ingredient.
